Christmas Krampus or Devil, artisan crafted, candy container, German inspiration
This paper mache, chenille and plaster Krampus candy container is an original design inspired by the German/Austrian collectible. I wanted one for my collection, so I created this Krampus using one of my antique chocolate molds for the shoe (Copyrighted 2019). The chenille body is flexible and can be posed. His face was hand sculpted and then a mold made so that I can create more. The shoe is trimmed with black glitter and metallic chenille stems. There is a red net bag glued inside of the shoe which you can fill with candy, miniature pumpkins or children who misbehave. The size is: Shoe 6 1/2" by 2 1/2". Krampus body 4 1/2" by 2".
The total length when positioned is approximately 9 with the tail extended as shown. Each piece, when completed, is signed by the artist who was a contributor in the Wendy Mullen Book, "The Comprehensive Guide to Chocolate Molds Objects of Art and Artistic Tools".
