A bit of a bio on Jacqueline. She intended to retire at age 40, but her plans took a detour during the recession of the early 1990's when the decline of her glass greeting card company put her on the brink of bankruptcy. She turned to jewelry making, but one evening, at home with her young son at her side, she felt overwhelmed by stress and exhaustion, yet she found the creativity to design a face out of clay to entertain her 5-year-old. Setting aside the earrings she had been making, she concentrated on the clay, and a face began to take shape. The eyes came alive; next a nose emerged above a smiling mouth.

Laugh lines, cheekbones, and a dimpled chin complimented a strong jaw line and a pair of perfect ears. Thus began her career designing figures that have been in high demand in art galleries across Canada and the United States, and are becoming heirlooms.

Adorned in brocades, velour, & velvet the colors of nature & enhanced with lambs wool trim & gold cord, we have caught him just as he emerges from the snowy wood bearing gifts for good children, yet carrying a sack of twigs from the forest lest he pass an undeserving child or two! This lovely work of art by Jacqueline Kent could be an excellent addition to your Christmas holiday decor, or as an impressive anchor piece for a large entry display!
