I was inspired to make this after the little gnome and I experienced so much joy! I think she was working a little magic on me.. I wanted to mention that some pictures are taken in outdoor light for your consideration.

This little magic creature has been created using the Victorian art of spun cotton. Everything created with this technique is just mesmerizing. All of the guests in our home are drawn to these pieces. There is something about the organic nature of the fibers that pulls people in and begs to be touched.

Wide, and 4.25 in deep. Looks like we have caught this sweet Little Woodsy witch on a seasonal walkabout. She has her broom in one hand and her beloved books in the satchel at her side. I'll bet she has a few pieces of cheese in her bundle to snack on as she makes her way. She has been created using the antique art of spun cotton, which entails sculpting various types of cotton over a wire, foam, or foil Armature using starch or white glue and then sealed.
