Ino Schaller For Christopher Radko: "Holly Giver Nicholas". Made exclusively for Christopher Radko in 2004 using a Schaller Family original 19th century mold. Santa's long cloak and cowl were hand-painted with a festive holiday plaid pattern. The background was painted using a lustrous, rich red lacquer. This was overlaid with double rows of criss-crossing stripes in a forest green lacquer to create the plaid design and was further embellished with sprigs of green holly leaves and red berries. Santa carries a forest green bag over one shoulder and in the other hand holds a toy rocking horse and an oversized spray of holly leaves and berries to further emphasize the holly and gift-giver themes. Fine gold glitter was used to trim the pockets of his cloak and highlight other elements of the design.

This elegant piece is a testament to the team of skilled artisans who produced it. Holly Giver Nicholas was dated, numbered and signed. New in box with Radko hangtag.
