LYNN HANEY Gumdrop Santa 1996 Style #6102 Signed. Gumdrop Santa is wearing a white satin shirt with red, a felt embroidered hat, vest, and matching slippers. Vest has antique silver heart buttons.

He has green velour pants tucked into his white knit socks. Slippers are beautifully made with delicate scalloped edge and embroideries. He carries a large candy garland tree with antique dangling teddy.

Handpainted candy gumdrop garland drapes from arm to arm and has been restrung and restored. In left arm dangles an antique handpainted birdhouse.

He also carries teddys, presents and greenery. This piece has a lot of detail and is heavier than most due to Haneys use of the large tree and garland. He stands 19.5 tall from top of tree to the bottom base and is approx.

12" wide and 6.5" deep. The wood base measures 7"×7".

All Lynn Haney santas are made with real fur and lamb hair, and I restore them with the same quality. His original wig, beard, and mustache deteriorated after decades, as seen in the last photo. I replaced it with Dutch mohair in true white and natural white, see photos. I use all the original parts he came with while adding a fresh creative eye.

Beards & wigs are made by hand from lamb hair mohair, wools, and natural fibers. Talented seamstresses in villages located in Hungary handloom fabrics. Vermont knitters handloomed Lynn's knitted designs. Hats, cloaks, and capes are added to complete the image for each character.

In 2017, Lynn decided to retire his Santa studio, making them highly collected and cherished.
