Wendt Kuhn Erzgebirge Christmas Candle Centerpiece Cherubs Angels Instruments orig box! This exquisite hand crafted item was made in the Erzgebirge region of the former East Germany. Legendary craftsmanship, attention to detail, and endearing subjects. Each Angel plays an instrument and is dressed in a shirt. Green fir trees placed at both sides of each Angel.

Round yellow candleholders held slender red tapers at Christmas, and was used in the Advent tradition. It was also brought out for birthdays and other special events. Original box has the red identifying seal. Base on which figures are mounted, 7.5" diameter, 8.5" diameter including legs.

Care: Light feather dusting is ideal. Storage in original box when not in use. Paint is vibrant, and in very good condition. Wax residue in candle holders.

It has been stored in original box when not in use. Light splits on underside-first layer of the plywood base. The way plywood is made, it can't go any deeper. Little blonde cherub playing Lute has had a curl snap off.

These small parts are carved separately, and fit into a slot, if you're interested in repair. Original box has the stains that appear to be wax from the candles. The owners handwriting identifies this treasure.
