The Smith's began work in 1971 in Fountain City Wisconsin. Each piece they create is made from resin and is hand cast to precisely reproduce the beauty of the original wood carving done by Leo Smith. After the casting, it is then hand painted on color schemes developed by Marilyn Smith. In 1991, Leo and Marilyn Smith began having reproductions made of their work by Midwest of Cannon Falls.
